Medical

High Energy Devices’ spark gaps are used in switching devices in critical medical equipment where reliable operation is required.

Providing solutions for a wide variety of applications:

Three Electrode Triggered Spark Gaps

Defibrillators

The TX5.0 spark gap has been used to upgrade an existing defibrillator design to make it more reliable. The device is used for transferring stored energy into the load.

Lithotripters

To facilitate the transfer of electrical energy from the storage capacitors to the shock generating components, the TB25.0 triggered spark gap, having low inductance, low dynamic resistance and long operating life, was designed into some early lithotripsy equipment and it soon became a quality standard for triggered spark gaps used for providing reliable pulse generation and energy transfer in the sonic pulse generation process.
